This is Scotland's Malt Whisky Cream Liqueur - exceptionally smooth and based on a centuries-old family recipe for brose. Columba Cream is a skilful blend of Scotch malt whisky, cream and honey. Originally, brose was a traditional Scots family drink made daily using ingredients readily available on the croft - whisky, oatmeal, cream, sometimes honey, sometimes fruit. The whisky was often distilled in secret, illicit stills which proliferated on the rugged and inaccessible coastline of the Western Highlands and Islands. This family recipe was adapted over the years, removing the oatmeal and adding other secret ingredients until the perfect blend was achieved. And of course we are now obliged to use legal whisky!
